“Symbols grant humankind a way in which to voice instinctual feelings and a way in which to connect to deeper levels of understanding about life and oneself. As a symbolist, the bird and animal imagery within the setting of landscape, convey a personal spiritual dialog to the viewer. My concerns are for the displacement of vital life forms and the detrimental changes forced upon them by humans—only then left to live a meager existence and ultimate extinction.”
